Towmate is a team of engineers, makers and problem-solvers, with experience across utilities, civil engineering, plant hire, landscaping and other demanding working environments.
Our story
We know no two operations are the same. The right solution starts with understanding the job, the challenges and what happens on site.
Our roots go back to 1995, when the business began supplying trailer parts from a garden shed. Since then, we’ve grown our expertise without changing the way we work: listen properly, solve the problem and look after people.
We work closely with our customers, combining their knowledge of the job with our engineering experience to find better ways of doing things. That means practical engineering, built around the job and not forcing the job to fit the equipment.
From the first conversation to the finished solution, we work as partners: sharing knowledge, challenging ideas and continually looking for ways to improve.

Every Towmate trailer is designed in-house by our own engineering team using CAD, then refined through feedback from the operators who use them every day. That loop between site and drawing office is how the range keeps improving.
Before a design goes into production it’s independently road tested by UTAC at Millbrook and VCA type approved, and our manufacturing is accredited to ISO 9001 for quality and ISO 14001 for environmental management.
Components are kept consistent across the range, so parts are easy to source and replace and your fleet spends less time off the road. Servicing packages, finance and leasing options, and a warranty on our Standard and Pro models are all available.
With a growing dealer network across the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and customers in over 60 countries, there’s always someone who knows your trailer close by.
