Towmate Trailers is a British manufacturer of specialist commercial trailers, designed and built in Colchester, Essex, for the utilities, civil engineering, plant rental and landscaping industries.
The range covers plant, general duty, cable drum, flatbed, rolling chassis and coil pipe trailers, plus fully bespoke builds. Every model is designed in-house, independently road tested by UTAC at Millbrook and VCA type approved, and manufactured to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Towmate also develops add-on systems including LaySAFE for safer pipe laying, LoadSentry and Pivot Axle, and supports customers with servicing packages, finance options and a UK and international dealer network spanning more than 60 countries.

Designed in-house, built in Britain
Every Towmate trailer is designed in-house by our own engineering team using CAD, then refined through feedback from the operators who use them every day. That loop between site and drawing office is how the range keeps improving.
Before a design goes into production it’s independently road tested by UTAC at Millbrook and VCA type approved, and our manufacturing is accredited to ISO 9001 for quality and ISO 14001 for environmental management.

Components are kept consistent across the range, so parts are easy to source and replace and your fleet spends less time off the road. Servicing packages, finance and leasing options, and a warranty on our Standard and Pro models are all available.
